PIECING TOGETHER MARVEL PUZZLE QUEST: DRAX
Quote:
"Marvel.com: Alright in all seriousness, it looks like we’ve finally got the entire Guardians of Galaxy roster in ‘Marvel Puzzle Quest’!
Josh Austin: Now players can team up with any of the Guardians to wreak havoc in the world of ‘Marvel Puzzle Quest.’ And finally people have someone to team Star-Lord up with, which I’m sure will help resolve a common comment among our community.”
Man, no offence but I really miss Joe Fletcher and all his banter and in-universe talking. It was a bit painful when the interviewer tried to joke about Fin Fang Foom and Josh was like “sure but hey we’re talking about Drax” and later when asked about the abilities, he literally copy-pasted the abilities’ description.
I know everyone wants more characters all the time, but the addition of Drax and the reveal of the team affiliations does kind of prompt the question about some of these smaller “teams” and having everyone at an equal tier.
In short, I can’t ~really~ field a GotG team reliably. Grocket and Gamora are only present in the 3* tier, while Quill and Drax are in the 4* tier. If I wanted to use Quill, Drax, and Grocket for the Knife Fight PvP then I’m operating at a disadvantage. I guess ultimately it may not matter, because even a full 4* team isn’t really going to be in competition for a top 10 spot compared to teams with max/champed 5*'s, so it could be a moot point.
Anyway, just something to think about now that affiliations are going to be visible. I’d love a way to be able to “rank up” my heroes so that I could run a few more theme teams with everyone at equivalent tiers.
Yeah, but IceIX got simple stuff wrong all the time, which really annoyed me. So far Cthulhu hasn’t disappointed me (I mean, it’s only a matter of time - it’s inevitable that I’ll be disappointed - no pressure), and I’m much rather get ability copypasta so that I can just read what an ability does rather than trying to unravel some artistic description.
Especially since Starlord and drax have 2 overlapping colors and starlord yellow does nothing to reduce black even at level 5.
So yea Drax will destroy Groots blue, his tanks black and red so Gamora is out and Starlord is well Starlord, so Darx goes with everyone but GOG characters in MPQ.
Nice thinking D3
Then you haven’t been reading his threads in the Character Discussion subforum
More likely the second but I guess we can hope. They seem to be pushing the fact that Drax and SL work well together when they are actually highly uninteractive, so it may be true that a different design is coming.
I was wondering about that. Maybe he thinks Sleight of Hand is a stealing power, since I guess most people use it to target problematic enemy CD tiles and replace it with Star-Lord’s CD.
Either that or the original Control Shift will be making a glorious return. :^)
Right, I had fun with that one Star-Lord power, which is basically stealing right? Taking a countdown tile to use for your own.
I understand some may like Ice or Joe better, it makes sense since he was with the game from the beginning. I will continue to do my best and try not to let you guys down.
I get my info from various sources and play around with some of the abilities myself with a debug build. Sometimes before the build goes live or after I put answers together for interview questions things change and I will always do my best to correct it if it happens.
