Joe Fletcher: A couple of reasons, really. The first is that he’s one of our top requested characters, not to mention one that we’ve wanted in-game internally for a while now. So getting to slot Johnny Blaze into our releases and unleashing his vengeance on the “Marvel Puzzle Quest” world just feels awesome. There’s also that having Johnny Blaze around lets us tell some great stories, especially with some of the more conflicted characters out there like Wolverine or Daredevil."
Looking forward to more details on skills damage. If his black (Penance Stare) has no limit, it could be a crazy good skill that can save a near dead team from defeat. Although it will be kind of the type of skill you would want to avoid needing. I have a feeling it would be more useful in PvE and on defense in PvP than on offense. I wonder if it will be a one hit kill potentially.
When you say GR comes “out of the gate” on Thanksgiving, does that mean he’ll be awarded in the event starting that day (i.e. Hearts of Darkness) or ending that day (so we can use him in Hearts of Darkness)?
Can we please just have one new character release NOT be on a weekend, especially a holiday weekend (for those applicable)?
Is that really too much to ask?
GR with KK and Hulk might make a good team. Hulk tanks all damage, is healed by KK continuously then fire penance stare for a one shot. This combo essentially makes Penance stare a one shot against any character in the game.
Event starts on Thxgiving? I called it!
That being said, I could be see a max GR w/ 5 bk being a pain in the arse in pvp land. Imagine facing him as an opponent.
All of those will lead to a perfect storm of a 4 day unplayable event.
On a side note with all these low AP high damage output moves that seem the norm isn’t it about time you showed Iron Man Model 40 some “fun balancing” love?
Hmm it’s not been mentioned but that’s a good catch. Also if my set up is viable then I may have managed to get GR a nerf before he’s even released…doh!
