Inspired by the Clem v Ben poll, which has been pretty fun for me at least, I had an idea for a forum game.
It starts with a poll with a two different options lasting 24 hours. First person to post on one of the options is Team Captain for that option for the round and sets out their rationale in a post. Anyone voting for the losing option or not voting at all is out.
The Team Captain for the losing team sets the next poll with another 24-hour timescale. The poll can have as many options as you like and you can set your own win conditions (e.g. top 3 choices win or ). It can be as serious or amusing as you like but should be related to the game in some way. Usual forum rules apply about respect to others etc.
When the last 3 or so players are left, the poll needs to be a “highest % for the win” and anyone from the community can vote anonymously. All entrants should compose their own pitch to answer the question and convince the world that they should win.
I’m traveling for the rest of the month so I don’t know if I have the free time to uphold the honor of the ol’ Hometeam, but this sounds like tomfoolery and I’m generally in favor of it.
But you see, it’s not me, it’s not my family
In your head, in your head, they are fightin’
With their tanks and their bombs and their bombs and their guns
In your head, in your head, they are cryin’
