I’m seeing legendary creatures for sale again at 550 crystals each, including some really good ones that you had to pay for when they first came out (Olivia, Ulrich, Gisela). It’s another 3 purchases per account, but the counter says 3/3 on mine so maybe it’s left over from the Christmas special.
Sadly, even with only a 1/3 chance of getting a dupe I’m not purchasing any. I don’t have enough crystals and after getting screwed over by the recent increase in crystal costs I’m not putting any more cash into this game. Still, if anyone does pull anything I’d love to hear about it!
Yeah, the timing sucks. But I did still have some leftover crystals, plus I bought just a few more. Got an Olivia and two other mythics I didn’t have for my trouble. So worth it.
Yeah, it does suck. Although the funny thing is, I’ve been rounding out my SOI/EMN collection instead of KLD/AER. Two Fat Packs later my new cards included Engulf the Shore, Emrakul, Nahiri’s Wrath, Soul Swallower and Drownyard Temple (FINALLY!). Oh, and… uh… Mind’s Dilation. So maybe I came out ahead anyway. Did you get anything good from AER?
Linvala, the Preserver, and Kalitas, Traitor of Ghet
Basically, money well spent for me, and my Nahiri deck is now awesome. Had Deploy the Gatewatch from a random pack, but nothing really good to use it with. Now I’ve got Olivia and Linvala in there, and it’s rocking my world.
Maybe you’ve chosen the good strategy. Problem is we are going to need energizing cards and vehicles for events, so cards for the new set. But from my KLD big box and 6 boosters I got 1 Mythic (Kari Zev, Skyship Raider) and 1 rare (Consulate Crackdown).
So those crystals would have been better spent trying to get Ulrich (even at 1/15 odds), he is 100 000 times much more powerful than the Mythic I got
So 295 crystals for Nissa 2, 1650 for 3 legendary mythics and say 600 for another KLD big box, that’s just 99.99 $ and there will be a few Crystal spare. Why do I even bother playing QB to earn crystals
This is very tempting, but spending $20 worth of crystals on a dupe or a crappy mythic sounds like a good way to ruin a Friday. On the other hand Olivia…
have 11 out of 15 so even if I get ONE not dupe I will be happy, its too demotivating at the moments so will wait maybe get this pack next time it will appear oin sale
How good or bad a legendary is depends on each player. i wish i got general tazri.
Its more ethical to extend the deal for few more days. The 350 gold/mythic last time had no time limit if i’m correct. You got to guy 3 mythics per account for 350 each
One would think to really incurage people to purchase these one of packs that their should be a no duplicate guarantee clause built into the purchase. As it is i have all but 4 and out of those 4 only 2 are worth having so its not worth the pain and suffering to get dupes for all of those hard earned crystals. D3 is missing out on a real marketing opportunity here. Why not offer something that has a guarantee of the person feeling like they receive something they can actually use instead of punishing them. If you keep punishing your customers you will eventually drive them away.
The reason it was released the day after the set release is simple marketing to catch people off guard for the purpose of generating revenue. I can agree with this marketing plan just not the one that punishes people who do make the leap of making a purchase and failing to receive any actual product. Your dupe system does nothing other than punish players who receive the same cards over and over again.
