N.O.P. is a NOPE

Seem like such a deck could deal 119 damage to an opponent on a much more reliable basis, tho, doesn’t it?

The underlying point of my post was this: there are OP cards in the game which are unbalancing it. You and me are in agreement on that fact at least, aren’t we?

Are you using a similar deck to your 3.1 deck to run speed pvp nodes?

You’ll be surprised at how often we agree, such as on Op cards. What we usually disagree on is how to voice it out.

example from your original post :

Sadly, card design is currently being weighted towards decks that deal 400 damage by turn 4 at the top level of the game.

You and I both know that this isn’t really true, but you’re willing to spread half truths like these to fan the flames. That’s why we butt heads.

Yeah, well, you know, that’s just, like, your opinion, man.

We’ll see if it’s correct when my coalition get their hands on some more of those juicy combo cards that are around at the moment. And Rishka’s Expertise is just around the corner, yknow.

Yeah I know. That’s some ridiculous Op.

But they aren’t going to be used towards the goal of 400 dmg in 4 turns. Especially not now. It’s going to be used towards the goal of building up to infinite(which is just as bad, but not the same)

Well, gee. I don’t know about that. Here’s me failing to get the >=8 turns objective on 3.2 this morning:

And here’s me failing to get it last time around:

I did that in 5 turns twice in the last RatC, but I only seem to have the one screenshot.

When, like me, you haven’t lucked into Gonti’s Aether Heart yet, you have to do things the old fashioned way with Part the Waterveil and Prism Array.

I know, I know. Achieving these results 3 times is hardly what you’d call ‘consistent’. And they were all on level 3.2, not 3.1… 3.1 is a little bit harder for a deck like mine, since it has more blockers, and neither Island tokens or Ulvenwald Hydras trample. But don’t you think it’s enough to be troubling? I’d personally say it’s certainly enough to call my assertion that we can build decks that deal 400 damage in 4 turns more than ‘half true’. Who knows how much better my deck’ll get when I replace Attune with Aether with Rishka’s Expertise. It seems like a massive upgrade to me.

If you think I’m being too hyperbolic, then I could soften the statement a bit: We can build decks that can deal 400 damage in 4 turns. But, I dunno, literally any deck can deal 400 damage in 4 turns. Especially if you play the percentages, or split the eights, or whatever. Personally I think my original statement is fine.
