Need clarification on node points

When starting a new node, I can beat it 4 times for full points. Easy enough.

Then I can beat it a 5th time and get the points shown, which is less than full points, or I can wait and it will fill up. This is where I need some help. Do the points fill at the same pace no matter how low the points are? If I beat it down to the 1 point minimum and wait 8 hours, will it add the same number of points as if I left it at half points and let it fill for 8 hours?

Do nodes fill by points/minute or % of points/minute?

If you’re after optimal scoring, 4 clears right away, and wait until the final 1-2 hours of a sub to get the final 2-3 clears.

The optimal order of clears is another subject, but for points in general, x4/wait/x2-3 in the final couple hours is the way to go for a 24h sub.

48h subs are a bit different.
