New Alliance: Wild Pack - Players going for newish covers

I have just started a new alliance called “Wild Pack”, for veterans that still want to collect covers, but don’t want to play every event like they matter equally (at least in a season with Elektra as a reward).

Here is the who, what and why:

Who are we: Wild Pack

What I plan us to be: Hopefully a group of sociable veterans, that still enjoy the game, but don’t want to have to play every event for covers that are just 500 Iso. Those covers are better off in the hands of the new players anyway. We’ll go after the newish covers (right now I would say that is Captain Marvel and newer), but if there is enough demand for an older character, I think we can work together for that as well).

Why am I doing this, and why would I go with “Wild Pack”: I am doing this because I like the game, but I just can’t bring myself to grind away every event any longer. I feel there has to be 20 other players that feel the same. As far as why “Wild Pack” goes, it is because I wanted a Marvel reference, and it was the one that I found that worked best. They were an eclectic group of mercenaries, that got payed to apprehend criminals (covers). If they payday is not worth the trouble, they didn’t take the job. Besides, I figure I may have to try to collect a set of “Heroes for Hire” until we get 20 of us together.

How do I know if I would fit in?

You like the game (or atleast one side of the PvE/PvP coin), but don’t want to play every event like it is your last. Some may be PvP allstars, when they set their mind to it. Others, may be sick of the 4* PvP scene and would prefer to spend their time in PvE with their diverse roster. If we get a good mix of both, everyone should be able to play as much as they like, and as a group we can all get the alliance covers we covet.

You are sociable, and understand this is a game, and real life comes first. I figure if we work together, we can all get covers we like, and take breaks to keep us fresh. All I ask is you let me know if you do decide to retire completely you remove your self from the group, and if you have stuff going on and can’t play you just let me know, so I don’t think you went AWOL.

My last alliance used GroupMe for chat, and it works well for socializing, but if everyone would prefer in game, and missing out on some of the conversation, I can go that route as well.

First person to join gets my two 3 purple cover OBW team ups, I send out regularly. Second person to join can have them ten or so hours later, etc… They like to get around.

This sounds like a nice, easy going Alliance that I would like to be a part of.
I don’t think that I could call myself a veteran persay, I’ve been playing since about October '14.
I like the idea of playing events with the time you have instead of trying to kill yourself in a grind fest for every event.

It never hurts to try someone out. I have seen many transitioners perform amazingly in events due to sharding and what not. Talk to you in game.

Surely there are others out there that, would like to take it easy from time to time, and go all in on certain events. Or am I the only person that doesn’t want to just merc when ever there is an event they actually want to play?

Feel free to discuss the idea in general rather than only posting if you are interested. I would post in General, but not sure if they would consider it cross-posting.

Welcome to the fold, as you can see we are still looking for a dozen or so players that want to take it easy until events show up that motivate us.

I think a decent amount of us still paly all the events for HP, but we don’t bother with placement, and shields and what not. We just don’t roll up our sleeves and get serious for those older covers that are just ISO to us.

Rome was not build in a day, so I am not giving up on this dream and will continue to try to build it. Although, I must admit most of the more veteran players that had joined have ran off to merc, and have not returned.

I have opened up the alliance to the public, in response to the request of the few people who have stuck with me this morning.

A alliance mate and myself may be interested if this is something that is still going. Both more than capable of putting up points but would like guaranteed top 100 for newer covers. Let me know if this can be that alliance.
