Don’t recall if the reticle is smaller with 4 covers (will test next time I use her), but cost is only 18, so this is definitely a good change against a single target like ultron!

Same size.
At 4/4/5

= destroyed area

= not destroyed area

Her Red shot is a rectangle and you place the upper left corner of the box.

I wonder if 4thor can use her yellow ability to turn bomb tiles into charged tiles?

Post nerf I think she only affects strike, protect, and attack tiles. Not sure about JG either, since they keep on changing what her purple can and can’t affect.

At 5 covers, Yellow will overwrite countdowns. I don’t think Ultron’s bombs would be affected.

True! But at 5 yellow there is basically no reason to use her. She exists to chain blue into red for massive damage.

Well depends on if you have champed her or not otherwise you are stuck with whatever covers you got. Also if it does turn them into charged tiles, it will be very effective in avoiding damage to your characters. She can get rid of quite a few bombs so buys a few more turn that is IF the bomb countdowns are affected.

Don’t use hulk, he is unpredictable. In fact don’t use any board shakers because they are unpredictable. My ideal team would be captain marvel, captain America and IM40. The blue ap can be used to either overwrite bombs or if you have too much ap, just use im40’s blue. Never made it to the final rounds, so not sure how well this team will do when ultron becomes much stronger.

But I think the idea is to use Hulk solely for his black passive, and let him tank for a much more useful green and red user (GSBW, for example).

Yeah the ap is nice, but the unpredictability will at least guarantee one wipe. Since it’s a boss event, you can’t have a do over. This is why I would substitute Captain Marvel. She will absorb the damage. Her black is usually higher than captain america and iron man and her black power does decent damage even if ultron is immune to stun.

Those without a viable IF could sub Doom to generate black. Not as good since he can only modify blue tiles, but might be enough if you don’t have the preferred option.

I’m going to have to re-spec my IF for the event. I usually keep his green and black full to handle trivial nodes faster. I just recently got a lucky pull for my 5th GR black, which might make me viable in the later rounds. Thanks for the advice!

is there any interaction between bombs and doc ocks blue?
do they get destroyed or ignored?

i have a pretty full 3* roster, inkl imhb und rulk maxed. rulks red could trigger unfortunate cascades and im not sure how effective imhb is in higher rounds (is he?).

so the best team i can think of is im40, lcap and punisher

everything else just seems to risky
qs with if and sw are my personal pve favourite but those two share rulks problem, which do quite a lot of characters.

what about a team around she hulk? her red maxed destroys the last line, but could still drop another bomb from somewhere of the middle of the board.

I would advise caution when using IF. Random boardshake can be dangerous. IF is, at least, fast which helps as there will be fewer bombs on the board. But it’s always risky to inject randomness into an ultron fight when 1 bomb is a total wipe. Doom is more predictable (good!), but slower (bad), as an alternative,

I do not beleive, but can not confirm, doc’s blue can destroy bombs. And in any event, board shuffle is risky as discussed above.

Ultron’s bombs are on random colors, so unless that’s changed, it would tend to be a blessing and a curse.

If he could only have 1 on the board at a time, her blue would be great. But he gets far more than 1 going at a time. All on random colors.

Her yellow won’t be much help either. His bombs aren’t AoE, and anyway their damage goes far higher than her yellow would deflect in later rounds.

Quake wasn’t released for the last ultron event, so it’s hard to be quite sure. I would bet that her blue will be useful, but a little risky if there are more than 8 of whatever color you want to destroy.

Her green is far too dangerous to use. one of the hardest nodes ever included in any gauntlet was ultron prime + loki + shulk. that boardshuffle is devastating.

I will assume that people are more familiar with ultron sentries from ddq, but the general rule of thumb is to target gunners (blue) first, then swarmers (green), then flyers(that’s what they are called, I think)(yellow).

I always focused on greens first, as they effectively gave the AI two moves per round to spam the board.

I think you’re mixing up his black with his purple. I’m talking about his purple. His black power is called X-Enforcer.
