Bug or feature?

I had Nick Fury toss up 7 traps, and 3 of them landed on pink tiles near each other.

Next turn, AI Thor did a match-3 on the 3 pink traps.
All the traps activated, and AI Thor died.
All the traps activated again, and AI Mags died.
All the traps activated again, and AI Capt Marvel died.

Coolness. Almost impossible to pull off. But I did wonder if it was intentional.
