It seems they have shut off the daily play tokens and now the event quests are not showing up in game. This has been such a terrible anniversary on so many levels!
No lightning deal either.
Let’s not forget the Tower event second sub, which we were told would be reactivated on 31 Oct due to a server problem, but wasn’t. As you say, no missions for 4* Viper shards. From a player viewpoint it is very disappointing that care has not been taken to make these basic interactions functional.
Lightning deal starting shortly by the looks of it. Back to usual time in UK after the clocks went back last week. Or it’s a bug. Guess we’ll see tomorrow…
Daylight savings time
I wondered if DST was the issue. They are up in game now so that would make sense.
Stupid DST… Nuf said…
What I found most surprising is that I still had one left from yesterday but it closed early.
People in my alliance are asking if there is anyone who grants these tokens, or if it’s just not working at the moment. Any ideas?
Filter for daily play seems broke, and the rewards definitely are.
I can’t retrieve results with “daily” but I can retrieve results with “play” or “daily play” so possibly a wildcard issue in the query parameters.
Also, I played with about 7-8 of those listed characters today and still not getting rewards from any vaults.
The devs do the following with the Daily Play affiliation, typically:
- When a new vault appears that is triggered by specific characters, they will (usually but not always) update those characters to have the Daily Play affiliation so that you can find them.
- when the vault closes/the tokens no longer trigger, they leave the daily play affiliation in place until a new vault appears
My belief is these are completely separate things. The game has a check for “is this character / are these characters used? then reward this special token” that runs on a 24 hour cycle. The Daily Play affiliation is newer than the token check and is simply a player-facing nice to have indicator and not a determinant of the outcome. The game is not relying on the affiliation for the token check.
Hence if it’s left up it has no bearing on whether you get a token or not. It’s work that is just “cleaning up messes” vs impacting experience, so they leave it, being extremely shorthanded.
