I know it was probably a long shot thinking, but apart from the one mythic “gift” why was there no cheaper boosters or gems or anything around?
Christmas holidays would have expected something.
Have you overlooked 2 free mythic plus gifts, all PWs on discount, rerun mythic packs, discounted crystals, etc, etc? A holiday themed exclusive mythic, and boosted rewards on literally every event?

Was hoping for reduced price boosters like before. All the offers are spend money related.
I must say, I was hoping for the same thing. Maybe when the planeswalkers go on sale, they will reduce packs again? I have been saving up 
They did reduced price boosters already (The great HOU resource dump was part of this). That was week 1 of the extended celebration.

There is a lot of unnecessary complaining on the forums but I think this the top one of all time.
Yep. We’re currently bathing in gold thanks to double rewards. Packs were discounted for a week (this coooould have been better as something for the last week to burn the resources again, but that’s really high level complaining). Pws are all in the vault apart from two that I know about, highly discounted again. And on top every player received three non dupe mythic. I’ve got no clue why there is complaining about them not being generous. That the offers in the vault are cash offers.. Who cares. They got to earn money as well, and it’s not like they didn’t give a lot of resources to every player
