Nodes not increasing in difficulty [Solved]

In Family Reunion, many of my nodes didn’t increase in difficulty after doing them the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and fourth time. I wonder if it’s the order I did them? I did enough to get the required ones and did those four times, then worked my way up to the toughest non-required ones and went back down from highest to lowest difficulty, doing each one four times. For Famiy Reunion II, III, and IV, they’ve all been completed four times and all three characters on each of those nodes are still level 23, like they were when I first uncovered them.

I’m playing Level 7 despite having access to Level 8. Not sure if that matters…
