I don’t know what the artist who created the comic and the in game artist were thinking. This is seriously some ugly art pieces, and they should be ashamed of themselves. SG is mildly useful, but an embarrassment.
The art is actually growing on me. It’s goofy, but I think it sums up the character well. I’m perfectly fine with them widening the variety of art that they allow in the game a little.
The art is ok, but can we please stop with the attack faces that make the chars look like they are constipated (Beast, Marvel) or completely, totally deranged and out of their mind on hard drugs (Squirrel)?
It’s really the stuff of nightmares.
My primary issue with the art is not the quality, since who am I to judge, but the consistency.
She does not fit at all. Everyone has a very realistic/CGI like effect to them, she looks as if someone at D3 sketched her on a back of a napkin, scanned it in and called it a day.
Either make everyone look like an art sketch or give her the same realistic treatment as literally every other character. Even Yelena looks better.

@topic: I like the artwork and i really can’t understand the outrage. I think it’s nice from devs to give us something unique for unique characters. Nobody got mad about the teddybear in deadpools arm.
I’m fine with it. If they ever release Carnage, I fully expect to see a face at least as insane as this:

Artwork: Hmm, after looking at the same background for 2 days, I stop perceiving it no matter how beautiful or the opposite.
So you’d prefer 1x iso and squirrel girl?
D3 is trying really, really hard to make us like Squirrel Girl.
Nah, I don’t have a problem. I just really dislike the character and avoided the Hunt completely because I’m not motivated to win her. Now I’m forced to use her in my lineup every match for 2 days because I desperately need the ISO. I’d rather play with a Deadpool or Bagman. 
Her and Moonstone both. Haven’t seen anybody fall for it yet.

I enjoyed that the artist working on the comic came in to do the MPQ artwork.
I may be one of the only people who actually appreciates the addition of SG.
