Old Gnawbone - Gold Creation Time [Investigating]

When the Gold tokens are created from creatures with Old Gnawbone in play.

The time it takes to create a new Gold token is required for every token, regardless if there is actual room for the token on the board or not.

In my video I have creatures attack,
Octopi tokens (32/32), Shimmer Dragon (13/15), Old Gnawbone.(28/28)

The board has 49 gems, 13 of which are planeswalker gems, 3 already have supports on them, leaving 33 available.
The Octopi token hit and add 32 gold to the board
Shimmer Dragon hits and adds 1 gold to the board then waits
Old Gnawbone hits and then waits

Basically, the game is performing the wait time for the Gold creation animation, even when the animation isn’t done.

It’s not “waiting” per se, their code is looping over each gem and assessing if it is free to be converted into a gold support, and this is initiated each time a creature attacks.

This means that instead of storing the board state in a manner that could potentially speed up some activities they are starting over from scratch for each time…
