Since it hasn’t been posted yet, and despite knowing this would be the case when Venom Bomb launched, yes, we have another full day overlap in PVE.
@Jeto@TheMigz@S0kun hey, running a new 5 release PVE (with the new 6 on top) is not the time to force people out of their time slice or make them sacrifice the preceding event.
This is like the 4th time.
We deserve you do better..
And also acknowledge issues when they happen. Instead of ignoring this yet again like all of last week.
I get that a portion of the player base (probably many of those who frequent the forums) are upset by event overlaps, but is there really any need to be so aggressive towards the devs @Daiches?
How do you think that will play out with their continued engagement on this platform?
This isn’t aggressive in the slightest. It’s engaged versus repeated problems. Don’t you think we deserve better? There’s a roadmap laid out on a road that more pothole than asphalt. Calendar issues simply shouldn’t exist. And they’ll be gone for a week of leave soon.
I can’t think of a situation where shouting ‘do better’ in all caps isn’t considered aggressive.
I get the frustration, and the need for you to get your point across firmly, but that just seems a bit much.
Also I think I might start a drinking game, for each time you mention the make-up vault. Again, I get that you want to hold them to their promises, but at the end of the day that’s not the relationship we have with them, as much as we might all want to ‘back seat Dev’ at times.
That being said,I hope they get around to it for you, and others that are similarly miffed about it
If you don’t keep stuff under attention, it will get forgotten about. It’s happened dozens of times over the years.
And I think the players that got refunds for their willing-full-price-purchases in the other thread are also happy they brought the problem to attention. Some things are just easier to resolve.
or you probably also like that you get retro feeder covers for ascended characters. Also a continued pressure thing. Many things you see that are player beneficial came from making sure we kept holding them to promises and established precedence.
Totally agree with @Daiches , it might not be “the better way”, but so many hopes had been raised, and so many have NOT been fulfilled.
Many, many people have left the game, for greener pastures or for dissapointment as a whole.
How much longer do we “have to wait”, many of us have paid our duties ($$$$ that is) along the years, hoping to get a better game, not a single line about getting new PVE´s for example.
Lets hope they listen before they jump ship or abort the mission.
I think both things can be true - you can keep things visible without resorting to all caps bluntness. The achievements listed surely weren’t all won through shouting “DO BETTER” on every thread…
You rarely visit outside of here. I can assure you much stronger affirmations were often used, but alway respectful as above.
Meanwhile I would like to report th back button ceased functioning during my entire PVE and became functional again after. Which is a symptom of the last few season launch issues. BUT the entire game didn’t lock everyone out with frozen quests.
This is true. I am very sure that there is much worse out there, but I am of the opinion that we should keep standards high here and not be as bad as everywhere else just because its tolerated there.
If we’re all really honest, almost everyone agrees with the point you’re making (if not the priority of it) but there are nicer ways to make the same point. And the point is, after all, the most important thing, and being nice costs nothing.
So we should raise our standards and bask in our collective glow of superiority over the rest of the Internet.
I understand your point, but this is whole lotta of hoopla over what boils down to the use of all caps for emphasis, as that’s the only thing that has been singled out.
It’s a written post. It’s either using bold font or caps.
The stylistic choice didn’t agree with you? Ok, editing the post for bold font.
While I am not usually happy with overlaps. It’s honor among thieves one of my least favorite pve,s so I don’t mind missing a day of it. Two symbiote pves in a row yuck.
The part that really annoys me is their continued lack of acknowledgment of the issue when it comes up.
Not like “oops we messed up again, and we’re on it” or anything. There has been one communication early on to say they didn’t intend it but nothing in the multiple slight mess ups since.
I realize that then they are opening themselves up to people asking for compensation but still.
Even better would be if they could get back to releasing a schedule of events up front so we could potentially call out potential overlaps. Or just have someone internally review the schedule.
It’s not that hard….just put the events in the calendar, look over the events and make sure if there are two options (a 3 and a 4 day) the correct one is being planned. etc.
Checking the calendar is correct is the kind of Q&A we are well willing to do for them and already do. But often reported future issues we can determine just from the previous event launching in the wrong length just goes completely unacknowledged.
Most of these issues can be avoided, but the 9/5 and weekends off on a 24/7 live service game with each event starting when they aren’t at work at all, makes it really difficult for them to actually hear about an issue in time and much less act upon it.
I forgot I was playing slice 5 and not slice 1. When I saw the next event was starting tomorrow I immediately assumed it was overlap again. False alarm. It’s just me losing my mind.
