Just opened a 600 crystal pack. Didn’t get a single rare except the guaranteed one.
Probably the worst 600 pack I have ever opened.
That’s what… 14 packs opened! And 0 rares! Besides the pity rare of course

I spent 1200 crystals last week on SOI. You guys obviously know the outcome. In case you dont’, I got 0 mythic, 3 rares (1 new) and all dupes.
why are we getting duplicates within a pack?
I got up 4X (copies) and many other X (copies) of the same cards within a pack. If they designed packs such that you do not get duplicates within a pack, problem solved.
Because their random generator sucks.
And because when you buy a pack all cards are chosen and you watch animations from that point, all cards are chosen in less than a second. Any random number generator that has to select 70 cards will give you a lot of duplicates, unless you give it some rules.
Well, of course, they did not forget to give a rule to increase the odds of cards you already have with 90%

It has a post from a moderator stating their interest in the drop rate. The original post in the thread has reached the threshold to make it a “hot topic”. Help push the idea by giving it more likes.

I have opened many packs and boxes. Sometimes you get lucky. But more often than not, you are just completely let down. You see the little symbol shake and you’re like “oh boy, rare or mythic!” and then you see that it’s a duplicate. Then you see another Rare proc, and it is the exact same duplicate that you just pulled in the same box.
You have to understand that there’s a delicate balance. If everyone was able to consistently proc new rares and mythics with every pack / box, then everyone would have a huge selection of the most powerful cards. However, the issue is that these Big boxes are being marketed to us in such a way that we think there is a good chance to pick up at least one good card that we need; evidence has shown many of us that it may actually be a much lower percentage than intended.
We tend to remember the bad events better, so i write this down for the record:
My event rewards today for 20th place (Platinum) was: Devils playground (dupe). With the coaliton i got From Under (new). But the fat pack, that was wicked: Invocation of Saint Thraft (dupe), 2x Corrupted Grafstone (both dupes) and a Soul Swallower (new). The mythic and the two grafstones all came from the very last deck. And i also got a rare (dupe) from the free booster just about an hour ago.
So that means no new rares for me until Christmas? 
well.. they are simulating a TGC (trading card game)
you WILL get duplicates. if they designed it to never repeat anything everyone would have everything pretty quickly

I’ve had difficulty playing it. It doesn’t seem to be that useful, but I’m just excited to have a mythic.
Descend upon the sinful: (12) Destroy every creature on the battlefield, DELERIUM: summon 2 4/4 white flying angel tokens.
This card would be awesome if it didn’t have the word delerium on it.

This card would be awesome if it didn’t have the word delerium on it.It’s a pretty great card for objective events like Terrors in the Shadows. Just ignore the delirium text for the most part. You can wipe your own board if you’re too close to winning, or your opponent’s board if they get too good of a cascade. Remember to disable your own creatures if you think you’ll cast it soon.
from a big box expect one rare, anything else is a bonus.
Expect nothing from any other pack… I no longer have any expectations about obtaining rares or mythics from packs.

That’s happened to me so many, many times. The guaranteed rare out of a Big Box, maybe a dupe or two I can sell for runes if I’m lucky!
I have 14 Mythics (out of the possible 80 or so), and last weekend I pulled a Mythic out of a free booster pack! Was quite excited, until I realised it was a duplicate.
I opened 3 of the red/green fat pack and 3 of the white big box this weekend. 1 mythic (dupe) and 0 new cards. I got 5 of the same rare dupe. Not a happy camper about these terrible rng rates.
I’ve now opened 3 boxes of SOI plus various boosters etc. I still don’t have RC, let alone various helpful rares.

I feel your pain Kronos. I feel I’ve been screwed on my last 3 big boxes. I quit spending money after the third frustrating RNG screwjob.
If you have not already done so please visit the thread in the suggestions forum and “like” the original post regarding drop rates.
Exactly same experience today… 600 crystals, no rares let alone mythics, only the guaranteed rare which was a dupe. It’s so disheartening because it took me so long to gather that many crystals…
