Buying packs is not a great way to get Masterpieces, surely? Does anyone have any idea how many HOU premium packs you’d have to buy to get, say, a 50% chance of opening an Omniscience?
It says in game that an HOU premium pack has a 2.47% of giving you a Masterpiece. Assuming each of the 10 masterpieces in the set is equally likely, your chance of getting an Omniscience from a single HOU Premium Pack is 0.247%, right? A probability of 0.00247. These packs currently cost 280 crystals.
So your chance of not getting any Omnisciences when opening X packs is (1-0.00247)^X.
To give yourself a 10% chance of opening an Omniscience, you’d have to open 43 premium packs… 43 X 280 crystals is 12,040 crystals
To give yourself a 50% chance of opening an Omniscience, you’d have to open 280 premium packs… 280 X 280 crystals is 78,400 crystals
Much better to buy Elite packs for Omni, it’ll cost a fair few jewels, but at least because the packs are non-duplicate you know you’ll definitely get it eventually!
