The question below includes Hellcow, but nothing that follows.

We’ve looked at a few situations with one color and a couple with all 3 powers. Today’s question looks at power colors and how often they get paired up with another color. There are 30 possible combinations of 2 colors that can occur. One pairing occurs the most frequent and one pairing occurs the least. But both of those pairings have a color in common. Which color is it?

After this one, can you tell us how many times each individual color is used for abilities?

I voted Red again for the same reason WhiteBomber always votes Blue - LOL.

Incidentally, aren’t there in fact only 15 color combinations? Or are you treating Red/Green as different than Green/Red?

You are correct, I did some head math incorrectly.

I went with Green because I have far fewer Green power characters in my roster than all the other colors, so figured that can’t be a coincidence. Then I realised I’d misunderstood the question and so back to relying on hope.

The follow up question to my first one above was: Why is Green so so so much worse than all of the other colors? Someone on the inside hates that color.

I’m going to ask what does “worse” mean to you? If it’s data related, maybe it helps me formulate next week’s question :slight_smile:

Green used to be the best by a lot, back when it was the only color allowed to AoE! Traditionally green has been active board shake and AoE, and we get that stuff from passives now (also the color pie hasn’t really been a thing for awhile).

Haha, worse to me just means, that color has the least amount of good abilities on it compared to other colors. Whenever I’m trying to build out new teams, it is always green that ends up being either left out, or a struggle to find a good partner who has it (non-passive abilities especially).

Congrats to Ptahhotep, skittledaddy, and Farii - Yellow is indeed the correct color.

Red/Yellow is the most common pairing, occurring 95 times while Green/Yellow pairs up the least frequently at 59 times.

I could, but where would the fun in that be? Let’s make it this week’s trivia.
