Progression rewards don’t matter if they’re not even obtainable. We had 3 Wolverine X Force covers and 2 Daredevil (or maybe it was 3) for progression reward for Heroic Oscorp, but the Wolverine covers sure weren’t remotely obtainable by anyone.
The awards look okay if they’re actually obtainable.
Reasonable effort yields reasonable results? Lol, keep telling yourself that. I’ve finished all available nodes, and am 2% of the way to torch. At that rate, I can get torch at 800 rounds. Sure, points rubber band some. But even 400 would be too much. Meanwhile, I’ve gotten Hearthstone cards simply for playing three rounds a day.
Seriously D3, show me why i should even try. The level of grind isn’t fun. I’m getting burned out.
When did you start playing? I see that you joined the forums Tue Feb 25, 2014 9:35 am. The game was released from October 2013 and HUGE changes have been made and almost all are improvements, positive balances and increasingly good customer service. I know it can be frustrating but in their defense they did make a ton of changes too to make it all balanced including alliance rewards, daily HP reward drop chances and handing out new covers like candy. Before getting a Punisher cover for the event node was insanely hard. Focus on having a good time in the game. You won’t always be top 10. Heck…the weather is getting nicer in many parts of the country. It’s a perfect time to drop the phone and run a 5k or 13k right?
TL;DR - wouldn’t say nerf, but change and balances. Rags/wolv/c.storm was a nerf, this is an improvement.
You can’t tell right now if the awards are obtainable until you see how the points escalate each day. Remember they ramp up so for the last 10 day event I seem to remember lots of people over-shooting the final reward but like 75k points. (which would be nice since this isn’t another punisher reward)
The problem is that you’re thinking of torch as the only reward you’re getting from this event. The main rewards from PvE have never been progression covers: they’ve been the ridiculous amount of iso/hp you get from mission awards and subbracket placement awards. The 3 new placement covers at the end of the event and torch cover is just a bonus compared to the 50k+ iso and 500+ hp you get from these subs.
In the past incarnation of The Hunt, there are way more points in Florida and Savage Land bracket compared to Alaska, so I wouldn’t worry about the lack of points yet.
