Progression when switching alliances mid-event?

I searched around but couldn’t find an answer here: what happens with regards to alliance progression scoring and alliance rewards for a player if they start an alliance event (e.g sinister 6) with one alliance but finish with another? Are they locked into their old alliance’s progression; are the points split based on when they move; or do all their points carry over?

It seems like they count towards placement wholesale in the new alliance (hence merc’ing works), but I’m specifically curious about progression.

You’re locked into the old one. It mentions when you first sign up for a Boss Event that you’ll be considered part of the Alliance you’re in at the moment you Join for the entire duration, even if you change during the event.

But this is true for boss events only. You take your score to the new alliance when moving in other events.
