first of all i do not have a punisher…
He’s too strong compared to any 3* that can be considered balanced, but there are a lot of 3*s that are not remotely balanced.
I may have missed out, but as far as I know there hasn’t been much talk of punisher needing a beating with the nerf bat…
I have a 141 pun, he was my first so I am obviously fond of him. I don’t see how he is over powered. His green can destroy friendly strike tiles when it goes off so you can’t truly spam it, his black has low damage output by itself and is only truly scary when you have plenty of strike tiles on the board. His red doesn’t do much damage unless you are using it against a high hp character, and that’s a not over powered that’s just using his ability wisely.
I think where people start to dislike pun is when he is used with someone who enhances his abilities like obw or one of the dakens. That has nothing to do with punisher being op.
Judgment is far too good compared to any ability that can be considered balanced. It’s not too good compared to say, Call the Storm, but nobody seriously thinks Call the Storm is balanced, either.
i knew people skip hulk, hood, l thor, c mag matches. but never a pun match. why would he be considered op.

He sure doesn’t seem to be much of a deterrent. He’s a slow ramp up character with low health. Considering all the tanks with big nukes that have followed him, the punisher being overpowered seems like a strange conclusion to draw.
Then what’s your beef with Punisher?
None of his abilities are particularly overpowered (maybe Judgement), he doesn’t have a massive nuke, no tile placement shenanigans, and he’s got lowish HP maxed out.
CMags wanted to drop in a say hello but I intercepted him before his arrival and lead him astray. You can thank me later but now I have to hide before he kills me.
Punisher is in no way overpowered. He’s actually a really balanced character, in that he’s more than capable of destroying your team in short order, but he’s also very capable of being wiped out himself in pretty much no time. I like him, he’s going to be my 4th 141 I think, simply because his balance means he’ll fit on many different teams.
Seriously? The only way you can consider him OP is to pretend he is a 2* - Then he is OP because he is 56 lvls higher than his peers. His abilities are far from OP - Retribution does less damage than lvl 5 magnetic translocation (which is not the skill that makes people consider Cmags OP). I think OP needs to play the game a bit longer to appreciate what constitutes OP before making any more of these threads.
Not hatin, just that you brought a baseball bat to a game of snooker and wonder why other peoples sticks work better than yours!.
I say play for longer because it takes a relatively new player to not have received a single Pun cover.
Anyway, keep playing and try going against LT before slating my pal Frank!!

Utility.
Punisher just win match quickly (he also could loose them easily). But if you compare to others…CMag, UDaken…He’s not very powerfull.
I used him a lot before…now I prefer Shieldbro, Patch, BP …
Back to Punisher, he’s far to be very powerfull…
I think the best idea you throw here is…Why not nerf everybody in the roster !

That and he’s been handed out pretty freely in the past so a lot of people have him.
A short list of 3* characters better than Punisher:
- LazyThor
- Daken
- Hulk
- Magneto
- Patch
…Yeah… Punisher has a ton of utility, fits well into any team, and is good on his own. But he’s not overpowered. This is not a call to nerf him, it’s a reason to buff other characters up to that level. It’s a classic design issue - don’t nerf unless you’re faced with something really fundamentally broken (like C.Mags or Spidey) that you can’t buff other characters up to.

Overused is not overpowered. LT is overpowered but not enough covers have been splashed around for everyone to have him at full build. If all characters were given out like punisher has been, your stats would not even show pun very often as he is not top tier if you have OP characters. Lets face it, OBW (Probably your second highest opponent) has a black ability that makes strike tiles uber effective because its a broken ability. She is a 2* that most people have and the main character most will build to be their first 3* is Pun so it makes perfect sense that these will be used together (best utility + most easily attained 3*) ergo once you have climbed out of MMR heaven, you will start seeing lots of these pairings until you get further into MMR (towards hell) and start seeing patch & cmags or LT & Hulk etc.
