I just wiped on the loaner node for maybe the first time since playing MPQ (on Day 909!). I knew Mr. Fantastic was bad, but I didn’t know he was THAT bad.

I do not remember ever seeing all three essentials have so little offensive capability. Makes for some pretty slow play.

I’m probably just a newbie who doesn’t understand the rules, but I was feeling frustrated by he last few nodes today. I waited a bit for my health packs to regen and when I went back, they were lower in level by a substantial amount. Was able to then do a full clear - feeling better now!

Under the “old” system, if you are successfully winning against the nodes repeatedly, they scale up after a few clears regardless of which nodes you are hitting (except the easy nodes and teamup nodes if they exist).

By the same token, if you find yourself repeatedly wiping on nodes - that is, if you are consistently losing your matches - your harder nodes will scale back.

The test events only increase scaling, and they increase on all nodes across the board. If you have been playing in the tests recently and aren’t used to the old system, that is what is happening.

Good lord, this pve is sucking away all of my health packs…
I have done three full clears at virtually max or near max points and after 24 hours, I’m not even top 100. I’m going to keep plugging away because the guardians are top of my desire character list, but damn…

There’s a lot of people who are going to forget these are 48-hour subs and grind too much in the first day. Always happens. So keep grinding near-optimally and you should be in good shape.

Seems like something odd is going on in my bracket… after first sweep, almost no one has the same score as anyone else. I’m at 3491 with all nodes cleared… everyone else is at other scores, but in that range. Is this rubberbanding?

Seriously… whose idea was this? This is just painful. Then you combine the low offensive with the color overlaps…

So you end up with 5 active powers, 4 active colors and really 2 ‘damage’ colors. (And don’t forget to keep some of you blue, otherwise you lose one of Falcons passive)

The only real damage is with Storm. Falcon and Mr. F gives you enough protection, you can pretty much fight anyone all day long, even Cage. But if/when Storm gets a Uppercut, forget what ever plans you have for the day. You can win the match, but you will be match damaging your way through it. (BTW, just happen to me on my 2nd clear)

IMHO, This is a “bang your head on wall” event… not sure I will be doing many clears on this one. I still have not cleared the 3 essential nodes, even though I have the 3 essential characters.

Exactly how I wiped the first time, had no options but a green tile match, the only color that exposed her. And of course Luke had his yellow ready. If you happened to win after that point, my hat is off to you, I couldn’t. It was like watching two guys trying to BS their way through a fight with Mike Tyson. Lots of movement and animations, but barely hurting Luke, or anyone. I would have been better off retreating.

Starting using my own Storm after that point, just for the extra health & damage. thankfully she’s not the essential.

yeah that loaner node just blows chunks. that took me as many tries as my level 94 chulk took (3). that’s just dumb. I might plug in my storm for single clears but I like playing with her boosted. can’t have her all jacked up for a grind when a loaner is available. that’s a node i’ll not be grinding. lots of troll nodes too. falcon essential where you’d like to use strikes for falcon. Elektra and squirrel. obw essential where some strikes would be nice. antman. and then the MFer essential with the vision/kk ever healing team that SL makes things dirt cheap for. that one is gauntlet-ish.

have to say I did enjoy the thing node. popping his passive and making big strikes out of it with loki. that was the only node that I had ‘fun’ with. weak essentials really suck. obw not weak (just squishy) but the other 2 are.

something going on very funny with this pve… you grind and the levels go UP… nope you grind and they go DOWN… without being wiped i just did 2 clears on all nodes and my final node dropped 30 ranks

I assume so; just entered a bracket and full clear for me was 4495, leapfrogging 300 odd people to 11th, everyone around mehas scores that differ by a couple of points.

Almost got wiped out by the loaner mission. It’s pretty darn ridiculous how they decided to allow a poorly constructed team. 1st the only viable offensive attacker was

abilities) now the 2nd one they replaced her with
not only no
abilities, adding on no
one either.
