Hi everyone,

We wanted to provide a post-v1.5 update and hopefully answer a few questions we’ve received from the MtGPQ community.

Here’s word from Will at Hibernum:

  • "PvE Event Overview****PvE Rewards
    With our first event successfully concluded, we want to give you an overview of the rewards for the upcoming Oath of the Gatewatch event.

    This weekend, defeat Kozilek, the Great Distortion at the end of Chapter 2 to win Sphinx of the Final Word! This Mythic card won’t be available in boosters until August.

    Here’s the full list of claimable rewards for the July 8th - July 11th Oath of the Gatewatch event:

    Chapter 1
    Cyclone Sire - win 300 Runes
    Reaver Drone - win a Basic Booster
    Seed Guardian - win 600 Runes
    Cliffhaven Vampire - win 10 Mana Crystals
    Jori En, Ruin Diver - win a BFZ Booster
    Mina and Denn, Wildborn - win 20 Mana Crystals
    Inverter of Truth - win a random OGW Rare card
    World Breaker - win an OGW Booster, with a guaranteed rare

    Chapter 2
    Walker of the Wastes - win 500 Runes
    Reality Smasher - win a Basic Booster
    Sylvan Advocate - win 1000 Runes
    Drana’s Chosen - win 20 Mana Crystals
    Munda’s Vanguard - win a BFZ Booster
    Sphinx of the Final Word - win 50 Mana Crystals
    Tyrant of Valakut - win an OGW Booster, with a guaranteed rare
    Kozilek, the Great Distortion - win the Mythic card: Sphinx of the Final Word

    Short on Mana Crystals? All second and third objectives in the Event provide Mana Crystals.

    Do not hesitate to contact Customer Support via the Settings (located in the main menu) if you have any questions or concerns.

    Developers Tips
    The Oath of the Gatewatch event showcases some of the most difficult encounters yet. If you’re having trouble with an encounter, try out one of the following tips:

    Change up your deck - each opponent has a weakness; make sure to try out different Planeswalkers and card combinations.

    Level up your Planeswalker - the stronger your Planeswalkers is, the better your odds to defeat the final encounters. (If you’re running short on Runes, try tackling a few Story Encounters or Quick Battles.)

    The second and third objectives in the event provide a lot of Mana Crystals - these might give you the boost you need to complete the most challenging encounters.

    Board Freeze
    We’re aware that there’s an issue where the board is freezing when no more moves are available. We investigated the issue and we fixed it. As we still need to test it properly, this fix will not be part of the upcoming 1.5.1, but we will push it later this month. We are sorry for the inconvenience and we are working hard to improve the game experience based on your feedback.

    1.5.1 Patch Notes Preview
    We are currently finalizing the 1.5.1 hotfix. It will be released later this week. Here is the list of bugs we’re addressing:

  • Multiple issues occur when completing an Event encounter after gaining health.

  • An ERROR message displays in the PvE Event after completing the first fight.

  • The text displays as “Ends in 6” when viewing multiple areas of the Event Screen.

  • The text displays as “2 days” when viewing an upcoming Event timer."
