Welp, I think this is gonna be a hard one with the available characters.

I’m also missing two of the essentials… might be able to make room for one of them. I’m not sure if I roster a 4-cover 2* Wolverine replacing one of my level 144 2*, or if I replace one of my 1-cover useless 4*s (for example, Mr. Fantastic) with Moon Knight directly. Or I could do nothing and have two weeks to buy a slot and roster Moon Knight. Decisions, decisions…

37k divided by three results in an average of 12.33k points per day for max progression. I’ll try:
Sub 1: 10k
Sub 2: 12.5k
Sub 3: 14.5k

Let’s see how that goes.

EDIT: end of sub 1, 4 suboptimal clears with 2 essentials, 10269 points.
EDIT: end of sub 2, 4 suboptimal clears with 2 essentials, 12655 points (22924 total).
EDIT: added the 3rd essential to the roster: 3 full clears + 1 hard node got me to 37059 (+ 14155). Easy progression!

What are you aiming for? It depends on what you want to get out of the event.

25 CP? It should still be doable with only 1 essential character as long as you play to get full points 3 times per sub and clear all the nodes to get all the rewards. You should get it before the end of the event. All the other non-repeatable nodes in the main map would also give us a lot of points.

If you think the extra CPs from Moon Knight’s essential nodes might help significantly, then maybe it’s better to roster him instead of Wolverine. I’d sell one of the level 144 2*s.

Selling a 1 cover 4* is not such a bad idea either. However, you might get another one soon, or you might not get one until the next new character release event and they become an essential character.

If you want Carnage, then you’d definitely need all 3 essential characters to give you the best chance possible.

Thanks for the advice. I’m not aiming for Carnage - best case scenario in terms of placement rewards would be top 50. In fact, I could definitely use the Hood covers (I need one
and one
to make him a champion). I don’t care that much about the essential CP rewards (a nice bonus that I could live without), the idea was to make the 25 CP obtainable with a little less grinding.

I do plan to sell and recycle both of my level 144

sooner rather than later, the only thing I’m worried about is that I need to make sure I’m still able to beat the DDQ 2* nodes. Right now I have:

lvl 144 Magneto
lvl 144 Captain America (probably the first to go)
lvl 86 Storm
lvl 73 Hawkeye

Having only Magneto, Storm and Hawkeye is risky because one or two of them might be locked out of DDQ nodes. One option would be to sell Cap, roster Moon Knight, and in case two characters are locked out of the DDQ nodes I could either skip the DDQ or sell Magneto and roster another 2* that is not locked out (I have a lot of covers queued). If I do choose this option, I’d roster another 2* ASAP (right now a slot costs 850
for me, I have 550 and would be getting 250 from Captain and Magneto).

So I think selling Cap is an agressive move that could backfire for a few days, but maybe it is indeed the correct strategy.

I normally play all events and get the CP progression award, but after working through the first page with a limited character set, I’m going to stop playing this event and take a break.

That 2nd to last node (in city) is giving me problems. Everything else seems pretty straightforward, but the combination of boosted Juggs + repeated stuns by Venom is not fun. I’m a 3
roster and have been using Cap, Widow, and Cage, all champed, but I’ve lost it a few times in both clears so far.

I had the same problem. They downed me twice so I switched from Cap to Doc Ock. His black attack tiles are really usefull and with his blue you get rid of Daken’s strike tiles (its damage is also not inconsiderable).
