My guess is that the former devs (BCS) did not document a single thing since Unity happened and for a while before and are providing no help to IP2 anymore.
Note there are about 10 things that are all supposed to happen around the season start (today) and so far we see the new character if you look at rewards and have a pve that is broken. And that’s it.
No new pass. No token update. No indication yet of the new season. No retro feeders for Sword Master, if there are any (who knows).
If you keep playing expect a long period of snafus and learning curve. There’s no easy fix to not knowing how to do things and being left with a mountain of tech debt and spaghetti code.
As someone who has taken on codebases for applications in production from dev teams that are moving off … I can validate everything bluewolf says above
So apparently Strange Sights is bugged and you can’t get passed the intro page.
I swear it was better when they just left things alone.
A year ago we had a bug-free game with a clockwork schedule of events, rewards & 3-4 new characters a month.
Now we have glitches all the darn time, 3 new 6-Stars that are worthless unless you cheat or pay thousands to get them remotely advanced, and an unreliable game that is constantly punishing loyalty with mistake after mistake.
I’m not to the quitting point yet, but for the first time in 10 years; I’m close.
I’m right there with you. I started playing in November of 2014. Stood by as Unity was rolled out but man, months and months of this…and now just nothing. I’m close to my quitting point as well.
The game is a product. You can decide to keep forgiving it but ultimately every player has to decide how much they enjoy it.
I am expecting lots of snafus and player frustration if they expect things to magically be fixed any time soon as the new devs struggle to make things work.
If that doesn’t sound good then taking at least a break is smart. The first 5 looks pretty bad. 6s remain slow and years away if the SS rewards are an indication.
In my alliance, we always had all 20 players play every day. Now we are lucky to have 13. Some people haven’t played in months. People are bailing in large numbers it seems.
No one is spending money anymore. We’d get a flood of CP from buyers, I haven’t seen any in a long while.
My casual alliance is exactly the same. We had slightly fewer active players than you (usually 15-16 daily) and we are down to 8 or 9. I’ve had 2 open spots for 6 months now and I’ve never seen them filled when we used to be able to fill open slots with random joins in a few days.
Noting for posterity: joined the event… Chose ten was placed in one… But it didn’t matter because I can’t play anything on the event anyway it’s all locked.
Paid 1500 for the pass… The pass items disappeared after I paid the 1500.
Further: there was a large list of event quests and honestly doing them simultaneously seemed an improvement over a few at time… Those disappeared as well.
I never no opinion on the situation at the moment.
Edit: two event quests have reappeared… One of them involves winning 15 missions with black knight. With PVE options limited I missy assume this is messenger to be done in PVP.
I still have no opinion on the situation beyond resigned acceptance.
