PvP char level different than roster lvl

So I’m looking at the PvP 3x3 simulator, and the guy I’m facing has a lvl 274 Fury/274/Jean Gray/270 Hulkbuster.

When I go into his roster and look (just because), it shows that his lvls are maxed at 273 for Fury+Jean.

So what’s up with that? The roster list should be the most recent (to my knowledge), but it’s not. I’ve seen it where I’ve been hit by a lvl 250 (or whatever) 4*, then go into his roster and see that they’ve leveled him up by +1 or +2 levels. But this is the direct opposite.

Seeing someone with higher levels in their roster than in the PvP is fairly normal, it means they leveled the character after the node was populated.

Seeing lower levels in the roster (not including boosted characters, of course), sounds like a bug.
