He might be powered up, but you can’t select 4* Deadpool, he’s locked.

:edit: It’s worse than that, it seems to be randomly choosing which Deadpool you fight with. Could a dev comment on how this is supposed to work?

:edit2: OJSP came up with a suggestion, since deleted, that looks correct, top node = 4*, other nodes = 3*.

Are all of the lovebirds powered up for whole event or are they powered up only when paired with their partners?
If the second one, is really only 1* Storm buffed? Who will pair 1* Storm with 3* T’Challa?

edit: or 2* Wolvierine with 5* Phoenix?

It seems that the boosted level is regardless of with whom they’re paired. What you see in the roster list is what you get when they are selected, no jump of 10 levels if they are “lovebirds”.

And yes, only the 1* version of Storm is buffed.

Lvl 345 Phoenixes for all! Seriously, this event is the very worst D3 has ever conceived. Boosting 5 stars is a giant, giant mistake. Who wants or can even fight level 500-plus Phoenixes when match damage alone destroys you?

And that is coming from a roster with a champed DPX (that I can use in one node) and a champed 4clops.

I believe I’ve had more defensive wins in the first 12 hours of this event than I had the entire last season…and possibly last two seasons combined. That’s even with my using the 4* loaner.

I believe this pvp is the first with the new matchmaking algorithm. I am seeing significantly easier fights for my 7 covered xfdp than I am for my 13 covered 3pool. Anyone else?

Matchmaking seems the same, but I haven’t been able to queue any CCs, so I had to go above 1300 the hard way.

No problem after that.

I saw a single cupcake when I reached 1000 (Jamie Madrox I think, queue various one liners…), other than that it was Whales against lvl 500 phoenix’s to get me to 1150, and I gave up trying to reach 1300. I’d spent almost all my HP chasing Hulkbuster on BoP.

I found some but it takes longer when they’re all 144s/145 or 165. tried to hop into t10 but came out of second to a hit. shielded, checked leaderboard etc. a minute and a half later a second hit by same guy comes through. was already above 1300 but man. either he got to 14 purple real fast twice with 3pool or the server didn’t apply my shield very timely. jeanbuster can be beaten for sure but not that fast, twice. was a 3pool/hood/fury team.

this was after my last event where had stuff lined up to make 1300 but was sniped by…a switch/3pool team. yay for whales… so I made 1300 in BoP with 20 hrs to spare but couldn’t scrape my way in QS where I had ccs lines up. not making sense, but whatever.
