This might be a stupid question but I’m just curious what determines the amount of points each seed match has? I noticed today I had 3 seeds and each one was roughly 40 points. Other times they appear to be much less.
I read at one point that a 35 point match means you and the opponent have the same score. I believe the game treats seed teams as having around 75 points, so at first you are below them at zero and get 40 points, next match you are still below so they are worth 38. After that you pass them and the next match is worth 33. From there it just keeps going down in value.
usually in LR’s, all 3 seeds get you to 100 or 101. Regulars first 3 seeds do the same, but the 2nd round if you get them are 1/3 less.
I believe that for scoring purposes the seed teams have a score of 0. When you start the event you also have 0, so the match is worth 38 points, as it does when the score is even. Second match is worth 33 points as you now have more than the seed team’s 0 points, the third is worth 30 points and so on.
