I finally clawed my way up to a level that I can place in LRs (85 OBW / 69 wolvie / 15 freebie villain). I placed top 5 in the Loki round for two Loki covers, and I just landed gently at #29 in the Hood round for the Diabolical token I wanted.
Now I want to make sure I don’t use it wrong, though.
As I understand it, I wait until the round featuring the villain I want, use it during that round, and I’m guaranteed that villain, correct?

Nope just claim it it’s a random villain cover.
Oh. Drag. In that case, it’s worded poorly in the store. Instead of “Featured villain guaranteed!”, it should read “Guarantees a featured villain!” (emphasis added).
BTW, Copps, THANK YOU for your tank team in the Loki round this morning. Scored me a key ~100 points. 
I believe you need to use it before the shop disappears too (at end of lightning event), as people have said it turns into a heroic token instead.
That part, I knew. Just used it. Got my first Rag cover (which was definitely not the one I wanted; ah, well).
In retrospect, I guess there would be no point to tracking Diabolical Token probabilities on mischiefmakers google docs page if you could call your shots, would there?
