In R279 releasing today (6/5), We made a change in the back end for our in-game chat system. This change has no outward differences in functionality (for now), but it is not backward compatible with the system in R278.
So if you’re hopping back and forth between versions for whatever reason, you may see messages appear or disappear that were written in the older version of the game. This will naturally go away once R279 is a required update. Just wanted to give a heads up so you aren’t confused if you see that happen.
I thought Pvp was all sparkly unicorns these days?!?!? Who is there left to trash apart from Entrailbucket?
The Sync issues are definitely a pain - I distinctly remember telling my Alliance they were a useless bunch of wasters who needed to play harder only for those comments to apparently not have turned up until after we had finished the Boss Event. And there I thought I was using tough love and it turned out they were just busy eating sandwiches or something but were on the job. Oops.
I look back at the days before Line and I wonder how the heck I commanded a T100 PvE alliance just using the freaking Alliance Chat, but we did, while walking 15 miles in the snow grinding
Updated and now I can’t even see the alliance chat (it says no history like I just joined the alliance and no one spoke yet). And my own message just disappeared.
Mine now looks just like that pic that was posted earlier despite me being able to read all the messages that were there earlier in the day. Not that big of a deal since all our alliance communication is on Line anyway just weird that it shows that now all of a sudden for me despite me already downloading the update way prior to this.
