Rai's event on hardcore level?

Hi,

Today I’ve encountered a new type of freeze, which i’ve never seen before. On the begining of the match, the game stopped so it wasn’t just a simple board freeze. The board itself had loaded, but the PW’s pictures (and cards) didnt and the screen was shadowed, just like it darkens for a moment between the end of a match and the victory/defeat animation, but now, it stayed dark. I was able to see the board, but nothing else. The game didn’t respond, so i couldn’t quit either, had to force-stop the app. After restart, it worked fine.

For the record, it was my very first match in the new event and with Rai. I thought, one loss i can handle, no problem. Maybe it was my fault, because i was in a rush, the event started 1,5 hours ago and i didn’t wanted to lose more time so i didn’t select any other PW, just started a match on the central node. Was that what triggered the freeze? If so, then why let me started the match in the first place?

So, i restarted the app, selected the pw’s and started a match. It also got freezed in-game, but in the old-fashioned way: i was able to quit in-game. The issue was, that Sigarda produced a human soldier token, but i already had 3 better on the board, so i just selected “No, thanks”. It didn’t do anything. Then i tried to replace one of the bigger monsters, still no response (the button showed the click animation, but nothing happened, the selection window stayed there). Funny thing was, that i was able to highlight more than one creature to replace. I tried to press the button several times, in case more soldiers was involved, but that wasn’t the case. Had a huge chance to lose anyway, but it was still meh.

2 loss in a row right at the start…well, the bigger the challenge the sweeter the victory, or so they say icon_e_smile.gif

By the way, i have one screenshot of both freeze, but i doubt it helps. Let me know if they’re required.

I had the shadowed freeze you first described but I waited a long time and eventually out started up.

It was also my first match as Saheeli.

I don’t know how patient you were, i took 4-5 minutes, screen locks on-off, app switching, but none of it worked.

I had another two freezes in a row cca. an hour ago. In both cases tokens were involved, the first was with Rai, the opponent had a reinforced tyrant i had a 4/4 thopter from the Nalaars (deceased icon_e_biggrin.gif
) +4/4 from Rai. Had thopter spawner and another support on board, casted Chandra’s ignition, then took a hit, and at the beginning of the next turn the game just froze. After trying the usual useless sht i quitted (ingame). The second one was due to Sigarda’s human tokens. On the board i had a hydra and a world braker so i was about to pass the replace. Same issue as described earlier.

Add another 3 or 4 losses, which were played 'til the end and here i am, without a chance to get Rai. The losses were also irritating, because they were against top players optimized decks and every dmn time they had some wicked cascades out of nowhere. Not because their decks, the AI just simply matched 3 gems, then the board exploded.

Oh, just one more thing: Seasons Past must be seriously nerfed. If it weren’t for the crush of tentacles (after that i was able to take care of the octopi), i would have been lost 2 or 3 more matches. I don’t even care to explain it, it’s obvious. RC is still a thing of course, but i was able to solve it or play around it so far.
But facing a deck contolled by AI and waiting minutes to be gutted just for the slim chance that it eradicates its own progress. Oh yes, watching a machine playing solitaire sure is fun…
