So I went to use Sentry’s Sacrifice, he curled up in agony and took his health hit as normal but then there was no strike tile although my yellow was depleted. I realized that all yellow tiles were already other special tiles. I suppose it did the damage and then checked for an open yellow tile, but couldn’t it have done that before the damage and spending yellow?
In general, skills only fail to fire when none of their effects are possible. The effect of damaging Sentry was still an option, so the skill worked.
Really? A negative feedback for this?
Edit: I see, looks like retaliation for a negative I left on a questionable post… classy..
I’d like to resurrect this, as I think it’s a legitimate issue. Davy’s explanation makes sense, but that doesn’t mean that nothing should be done about this. Most players will think “other abilities don’t let you fire them if there are no available tiles, this one will be the same”, and then get annoyed when Sentry sacrifices himself for nothing.
