Don’t worry, Ant-Man will have an "increased draw-rate"™ from special event tokens to use in the Ant-Man MPQ Reward Vault™.
I am still currently optimistic that we might get a video or text post tonight.
I had heard at one point Ant-Man was getting his own DDQ style thing for 30 days. This might be the precursor to that.
Beats PVE grinding, to be sure.
His event is up as well, starts in 15 hours, with a purple Ant-Man cover as the single prog reward. 5 missions will probably mean 5 nodes.
No need to antsicipate the worst all the time.
More likely each mission is multiple nodes. Maybe 6 nodes each, one for each day? 30 days for 5 nodes is a bit excessive unless they are only winnable with luck.
Was very dismayed to see enemy of the state yet again. Here’s hoping growth industry doesn’t turn out to be a cluster &%#& like the first Ultron.
I am legit excited about growth industry, can’t wait to see what it is. Enemy is my favourite pve as well, so I see no cause for complaint on my side.
Not necessarily. You’re looking at this from the perspective of a hardcore MPQ player/forumite. For us this would be a (probably slightly harder) DDQ, that we beat in one, maybe two days and then ignore for the rest of the month. No big deal, although an easy 4* gain is always nice.
Think of the more casual players, or the new players who have seen the movie and then found the game. For them it’s pretty cool to come into the game and find a small, beatable event for that movie they’ve just seen/are about to see, and gets them the main character to boot (who’s a shiny 4*, no less). That’s a nice piece of marketing for both the movie and this game, and keeping it running for a month makes sense, because that’s the timespan in which most people will see the movie.
this PVE is not divided into different starting/ending time sessions like other PVE event, it is possible that this event is similar to DDQ.
You gotta be kidding me. Ant-man 4*?!? He’s a B+ character at best. Don’t get me wrong. I like Ant-man but I dislike the hero ranking that has recently been determined by D3. He’s clearly a 2*, I can see 3* but no way a 4*. When Dr. Strange, Silver Surfer, Emma Frost, Apocalypse, or Cable are added, you cannot rank them lower than Ant-man. No way in Hell! I always thought D3 needed to overhaul the ranking system and this proves that need more than ever. Hulk is a bonafide 4*. He always kicks Thing’s @$$, yet Thing is 4*?!? What gives?!? Sorry to rant on but I just got my first Kingpin cover and really don’t want to grind for Ant-man. Excelsior!!!

You’ve gotta get it out of your head that the star rating means anything but how difficult it is to obtain covers for the character. Because that’s all it is! It’s got nothing at all to do with their relative power level from the comic stories. If that were the case, we’d all have to be mad to think that Juggernaut is anything less than 3, right? Just stop thinking about it, because it isn’t going to change.
After a pretty long time being around this game and these forums and doing concepts and models of my own, exactly this.
It doesn’t make sense, nor explained, nor justified but its far better if you just accept it for what it is.

number of stars don’t reflect the power of the character in the comic. hulk is a not-so-powerful *** while Elektra is a ****. I don’t think anyone will think that Elektra in the comic is more powerful than hulk in any way.

5 nodes, 5 Ultron events in 30 days concurrent to usual PvE/PvP, each having it hidden after you beat Ultron the 8th of course.
My understanting is that we are going to get 30 days of Antman solo evants. These evants will be gauntlant style, in that we do not need to grind them and we won’t get a placemant reward for completing them. These will be run independantly and in parallel with the existing PvP and PvE evants, just something to do in between grinds.
And as to the elephant in the room: It would be nice if we had something like this permanantly, but I am hesitant to think the developers would be willing to give us something fantcy like this.
