Since I’m guessing someone may bring it up, I’m betting the reason they kept all of the progression levels the same, in spite of lowering them in events, is due to them saying that since the shield cooldown changes people were not having any more difficulty getting to 5-600 points, but getting to 1k+ had become a challenge. Anyone who was getting 3-600 points prior to cooldowns, is likely still getting that, and should have no problem getting the same progressions as before. 400 per pvp gets you the 10 pack still, and if you get closer to 600 per event plus 1500 in the shield sim (very achievable for a
roster based on opponents I was seeing) you should be able to hit the
at 7500.
Glad I have
already done so I’ll only have to aim for 2300 for that
cover.
Why Starlord?!? Why not finish the Elektra cycle, so folks can have a shot at all three covers without having to finish T10 (or whatever) in a PVE?!? (As well as the rest of the IW cycle, green X-force…). 4hor had a full cycle, all in a row - Fury had a full cycle, all in a row, Dino had the “special event” and has three covers at a year played in three days.
I know Starlord is the newest one - maybe falling behind on season rewards is a sign you need to hold off on releasing more 4*'s so soon behind the last release.
If they are going to release 1 4* char a month, they need to have each of them as a reward in each season. The other 4* were more available as season rewards and dailys because they have been around longer and that was pre-“1 4* a month” so they had time to reward them multiple times.
Edit: in response to snowcaTT
I did it once about 3 or 4 seasons ago because it was Deadpool and I really wanted to max him and back then it was a nightmare. Took me weeks to get that high and started to get hit like crazy around 2000. Granted I didn’t have a max Xforce or 4Thor back then but it cost me a lot more hp than I care to admit.
2400 is not hard. I’ve done it twice. Pushed to 2300 without shields. Then one or two pushes to get to the top.
They don’t need to lower the progressions on this. It’s much different than a standard event, because everyone’s not playing at the same time. Lots of people ignore their Shield retals until they’re going to make a push. So as long as you push 1 or 2 days before everyone else, it’s not hard.
How can you say that? How can anyone say that, since we have not had enough chances to earn 13 covers for
?
Oh, wait. Be a whale and
your way to 13. Sorry, forgot about that one method.
Anyway, yes, even though the top whateves Alliance doesn’t really apply to me, I still find it EXTREMELY disturbing they did not finish the new
shiny’s cover cycle. Definitely a symptom of a very serious problem in MPQ land.
As has been said, we’ve been able to try her out in Lightning rounds, her own PVP, PVE, and probqably somewhere else I’m forgetting. Also, considering how good 4*Thor/X-Force are, it’s pretty krutacking hard to compare. And finally, we’re not idiots - go over to the character discussion forum and see where the bones fall.
But you do have a point that they’re rapidly releasing 4* characters. But they’re also rapidly releasing 3* characters, and don’t seem to care about how players who aren’t top 10 will ever finish those characters. I spoke about this before if you’d like to add your vote and voice there: https://forums.505go.com/discussion/21439
Won’t be able to get 2,400 points in sim b/c of 3* wall…sigh.
Beyond the 3* wall lies the 4* wall… so yeah, there’s some serious roadblocks in a 2* players consideration of 2400… mainly more hp in shielding than just buying the cover directly. It doesn’t help that sim rewards are complete garbage for a 2* player to any point in the progression they can actually reach. There isn’t even a 2* cover reward til 1600, and that’s up in 3* wall land even toward the end where point separation by tier is the largest. For a 2* player, Sim is basically a few hp, some extra iso, and try to top off your season score to reach the next progression. Sad, cause it feels a lot more fun to me than the extremely tired 2+featured events.
