I slowly reach 1300 and sit, I’ll rarely get hit. Then when there is a PVP and a PVE (normally rewarding a new character) at the same time, then I’ll go for my 2000. The players will be too busy to retaliate right away.
Thanks everyone for the feedback! What I’m really interested to know is when you JOIN the event.
I’ve heard that joining too early can get you stuck in a death bracket, and that joining too late can get you in a slow bracket (meaning low scores and making it harder to reach higher).
Do we know how many evemts there will be. Is there a minimum score I should get each event to hit 7000 legendary token? I’m wondering if it’s possible to get it if I only make 800 each event, which is as high as I can go.
Gently making a push for 2000 before the hordes of all-4* start being serious, I swapped out Devil, Carnage, Doc Ock and replaced them with the “team who shall not be named”. But are Witch, GSBW, Prof X.
Strangely, I get a lot more attacks now, and I don’t think it’s just because I’m a couple of hundred points higher.
Having been knocked back down to 1500 or so, I climbed back up to 2011 without being hit. When I got to 1800, then 1900, I decided to push on, spending HP on health packs and boosts rather than 24 hour shields. I learned that lesson last season, people in your queue who are “worth” 40 points end up being only 5, it just doesn’t refresh properly. I ended up spending 300 HP, which is less than the 600 I spent last time.
Apologies to anyone I double-tapped, at least 60% of matches had one or more of Jean, Fist, Buster, and I didn’t want to chance those.
Now to free-fall, maybe climbing again at the end of the season if I need to top up for the 10k legendary…
It’s obviously possible since someone has done it.
How it’s done is by getting a coordinated group that is willing to spend shields on a regular basis for days at a time. Need about 6 people. Climb high, queue each other and shield. 1 goes out and hits players 2-6, everyone queues 1, 1 shields. 2 goes out hits 3-6 & 1. Everyone queues 2, 2 shields. Repeat through the remaining 4. Repeat as often as you are willing to. You can go through a 3/8/24 pattern almost every 8 hours, climbing a couple hundred points for each shield.
I’m less impressed with the score than I am the dedication to doing that for as long as they’ve done it in order to achieve that score. The process is simple enough, sticking with it for that long isn’t.
Hey, let’s not accuse people of cheating just because you don’t know how sim brackets work. J12601 is correct about how the involved players put up ridiculous scores. There were about 6 of them, and they just hopped off of each other for like 15 days. The difference between 1st and 2nd in a bracket means nothing, because you can q and hit people not in your sim bracket. But hey, don’t let that stop you from accusing everyone better than you at pvp of cheating…
