I never understood why card effect are counted as a prerequisite.
Cruel revival has also this usaue(needing a zombie in the GY) but at least it was not a mythic or something you really needed(and do y for sure nowadays with so many removals added for black).
Prism array, one of the most debated for opness card, had this issue too and it was “fixed”.
Sincerely I see no point in these cards having this limit.
It’s not like they would be OP in this case
slSeasons past would be really good, but, being a mythic, it is the least you should expect.
I haven’t opened one yet but that’s disappointing, as I’ve mentioned before mythics should all be reasonably playable, that’s why they’re mythic. Cruel revival was fine as being black it was relatively easy to trigger of Lilys ability and it is only U (Don’t even get me started on Prism Array
)
(if applicable) return a support creature and spell to your hand then convert 15 gems to green.
I wouldn’t’even mind if it were an “or” where it only does one of the three (choice made by order) but this is quite useless, it is less than situational.
Once i’ve’lost a creature and a support i’m’that far in the game that i’ll’have three copies of thi card dead in the had of which only ONE will work, by that time I allready have lost or won.
So essentially if you are lucky yopu may play this card ONCE per game…
Devs please fix this like was done for prism array?
I did internally fix Seasons Past today, and it now works regardless of what was destroyed during the game. It’s much, much better! When we do our next patch the fix will be included.
They’re different colours though, and don’t perform the exact same function.
Unholy hunger is cruel revival lite if the zombie requirement is removed.
It would be like if exert influence were uncommon and welcome to the fold were the rare. Exact same colours, exact same function… But one has a better side effect
Scour being colorless doesn’t make it not comparable to colored cards, it gives it another advantage over them. And they do perform the same function, removing creatures, Scour just does it more reliably, is available for every color, is two rarities lower, and costs less.
Red’s weakness has always been unconditional creature removal. Not sure what you’re getting at. Any colourless card that does unconditional creature removal will always beat a red card when it comes to creature removal.
