Selling Deadpool / what happens to DP points?

i did a quick search and didn’t find anything. If I sell my max leveled 3​:star: Deadpool, what happens to my DP points I have accrued? Are they tied to Deadpool himself, or tied to his purple cover? I want to sell him since I have a new cover for him, but it is red. I’m not sure if I would lose the points if I rostered the red cover and then sold off my maxed dp.

Has as anyone else run into this issue?

Your points are tied to the account and will be usable with a new rostered Deadpool once you have purple covers, or even a Teamup.

I’ve sold max champed deadpool a couple of times, you keep the points when you roster a new one. Pretty sure your points would still be useable with the team up even if he wasn’t in your roster
