Shang-Chi combo points being lost

Hitting an interesting case where Shang-Chi is losing combo points even though a purple (or red) match was made during the turn. I’m on R248.

I have started running 5* Wanda, 5* Cyclops and Shang-Chi (left to right) recently, and I noticed I was losing combo points unexpectedly. Started paying more attention, and tested scenarios and I think I figured out what is happening: If Wanda’s Chaos Magic is active on purple or red, and then Chaos Magic causes a match, that does NOT count as a purple or red match during the turn for purposes of maintaining Combo Points.

This sounds like the same issue with 1/2 health Thor. Shang-Chi doesn’t see matches “on his turn” caused by passives of characters before him in turn order (center, left, right on the team selection screen).
