I am trying to get the Red 4hor cover in PvP - I climbed earlier today and pressed the button to throw up a three hour shield. No shield icon was displayed and I kept refreshing / going to the leaderboard and got nothing. I tried a second and third time and both times I got a message saying I could not shield due to there being a countdown in place. In desperation I put up an 8 hour one which worked. I have since had to use a 24 hour shield (which I had no intention of using due to cost) to keep my climb on track.
I have sent it a ticket in but has anyone else had this issue and if so did the problem clear after the 8 hour countdown? I don’t want to unshield at the countdown point if I can’t put up a 3 hour shield at that time (if I can’t I guess my climb has hit a fatal end) and I don’t want to have to use 24 hour shields on the climb unless I have to (i.e. I have got use out of the 3 and 8 hour shields but need a 24 hour one to hit the target)
You know there is an 8 hr countdown on every type of shield, yes?
Meaning if you use a 3 hr shield, you have to wait for 8 hrs before you can use another 3 hr shield.
Shield cooldowns have been in place for the whole previous season.

The issue is that when I tried to put a three hour shield (without having shielded before in the event so definitely no countdown in place), no shield actually appeared for about 30 seconds in spite of refreshes etc but I was treated as if I actually had used a 3 hour shield. When I tried to use an 8 hour shield it took but I am worried that I have some shield bug! And that I cannot use 3 hour shields in this event
