So, it seems that the 3-turn fight that Galactus turns into in later rounds is an intentional design decision. However, cutting things short isn’t as satisfying as some people seem to think it is.
I thought a visual aid or three might help to illustrate how unsatisfying things can be when they don’t go on long enough.
Sometimes, you can feel like you were just about to win:

And really, sometimes it’s just more fun if things go on at least a little bit longer:
Please, devs. Let things go on a little bit longer next time around.

Those gifs were a welcome break from the depths of despair that is Galactus. I wish there was a post of the week, this would definitely win it Stax. Bravo
Even if it was coded that he cold use his AP the following turn he gets it - that would give you more options. Another turn to live. Another turn to steal/drain the AP.
I am a little embarrassed at how many times I watched that third gif on the first post. Such an intriguing mixture of titillation, shame, anger, and laughter. I better go watch it once more to be sure how I feel… for science!
This is my major pet peeve. I actually lost a match because Galactus got his ap and triggered his wrath on the same turn. And with his one turn CDs in round 8, it is almost impossible to win with a normal board.
