Should I Sell My 5*?

Roster in sig, Day 838.

The main dilemma I’m coming up against is that I’m not sure where to go next with my roster. I have all but six 4*, but only a small handful are covered enough to be useful. I have all of the 3*: most are champed, many are soft-capped, with IM40 and Ock under-covered and under-leveled. I keep IM35 for the 1* daily, and I rotate my OBW, MNMags, and CStorm because I don’t have much else to do.

So I primarily PVE, hit 4k for the Heroic 10-pack in PVP, and really don’t enjoy doing either because I feel like my roster is just an unfocused mess. Whenever I get 20CP I pull a Classic because I’m trying to get 4* covers, which is my only main source of them outside of Daily Resupply, due to coming nowhere close in PVE or PVP placements/progression. I spend my HP on roster slots and the occasional token pull when I see a decent vault.

As a result of all of this (but also with the number of days I have) I have four of the currently available eight 5*. I have them all rostered, with OML and SS having more than one cover, and I stare at them everyday wondering why I did that. I wouldn’t sell my OML, not when he’s the crown jewel. I’m hesitant to sell my Surfer as his blueflag.png

? I never use them. I have a few characters that are 200+ so my scaling is already kind of borked, but those two freed up roster slots and 4k ISO (as piddly as it is, WOULD help somewhat) would be relatively valuable for me.

So, any roster advice I could get would be much appreciated. Snarky commentary and poking fun is also acceptable.

I assume that since you have been playing for 800+ days that you plan to continue playing, and so no, you shouldn’t sell your 5s. They really aren’t having a negative impact on your scaling because with as many 3s as you have champed you are likely seeing several of them boosted to 240+ each week meaning that your 5*s aren’t hardly increasing your average level much at all.

If you dream of some day playing in the 5* tier (which I assume someone that has played for over 2 years does) then you should absolutely keep them. They are hard to come by, and if you do continue to progress you will definitely regret selling them.

Appreciate the feedback. That’s a very good point, something I hadn’t considered, how my 3*'s are scaling with boosts. I guess I’m just kind of lost in this ridiculously long and tedious 4* transition.
