It is been a few days - I guess, it’s since the update before the recent one - that the game prompts me to confirm my Google Games account.

This has never been the case before. Since starting the game already takes quite a while (and happens frequently, even if I do not deliberately close the app), this causes the process to take even longer.

So … is this really necessary? Is there a way, to bypass this behaviour?

(Btw, I am playing MPQ on an Android driven mobile device)

This had been happening on my Android device also, but if I select my Google account, it then prompts me to create a Google Play Gamer ID. I already did this a long time ago (though admittedly I don’t remember my Gamer ID). If I touch anywhere else on the screen when it first asks me to select a Google account, it skips the login and Gamer ID creation steps and goes straight into the game.
