Silver Singularity - Match 4

I’m not really sure if this is a bug or if this is intended. When i was using Silver Surfer’s silver singularity; the ai then made a turn which cascaded in to a match 4 on the same line as silver singularity. This destroyed the entire row along with silver singularity. Reading the description it states ‘Silver Surfer creates a miniature black hole which begins to engulf everything. Transforms a chosen basic tile into a x-turn Black Hole tile which cannot be matched and does not fall.’

My question really, is this supposed to happen?
