As I understand it:
To ascend a character, I need that character to occupy 2 roster slots.
Once I ascend, does that still use 2 slots, or does that make one slot now empty?
This is ignoring all the details about how to qualify for ascension. Just a simple question on the outcome.
This is missing in the FAQ/summary.
The ascended character uses only one slot.

(hopefully obviously a very dumb joke, as i didn’t bother to “stretch” the other ascended chars…!)
I’m not gonna lie, that made me chuckle for way longer than it should have. 
I’ll add another simple question on Ascending. Did we ever figure out what level the Ascended 4 star to 5 star needs to be to not miss any future rewards for that 4 star later becoming a 5 star feeder?
I think it was around 473.
