First off, this is not a thread to bash shield, they’ve earned their due, and such super-alliance is always formed in these games.
But, I was wondering if there would be a silver and bronze tiers so the rest of us mortals would have something to thrive for?

At some point we are going to lose a PVP, we haven’t won many PVE’s apart from where we took 3 out of the 4 venom heroic rounds (which was a surprise). Everyone is improving their teams and the gap is closing. I mean I had to push to over 1200 in the last PVP tournament and we got members pushing past that now in the Hulk PVP. We are just working harder when it counts then other alliances, be it late pushes, use of shields etc.

Interruptor is trying to point out that the 2nd/3rd place alliances work pretty hard too. And the rewards should reflect that. Surely placing top 5 is a lot more work than finishing top 50. As it stands, the alliance reward structure doesn’t acknowledge that difference, and it should.
I agree top 5 even top 10 should be given better rewards. I don’t like this untouchable tag however. We will lose a fair few PVP tourneys. Your alliance has pushed us and there are several others who have also done well. I think people need to reliase nothing is reserved and it’s all up for grabs. Lycra I also apologise for hitting you so many times over these last 2 PVP your one of the only juicy scoring targets. You should get a good retal back for this recent one.

I think the 2-50 reward structure was a joke, if shield was barely finishing second, and ended up getting the same rewards as the HowlingNutJobs you guys would be up in arms, Jozier fuming at the mouth. demiurge tried a #2 finish once then went back to the nonsense model. But we do have a bunch of unsolicited new features though!

I wouldn’t really be up in arms myself I would just want to knock top spot down. My shielding varies depending on PVP but yea I am the alliance name personified.
The way things have worked in the past, I see the 500 HP reward getting nerfed with any change. Probably a 300 for first, 200 for 2-5, 100 for 6-10, and 50 HP with varying ISO awards for top 100.
They do not -have- to lower the HP given to lower placing teams, but it does seem to be the trend.
I think the Deadly version was an attempt to try and open up opportunities to other players. Expectation was that a lot of shield would see a wall of 400s.
If they add a Deadly version of The Hunt, I can imagine the obsessive ‘must be top 3 in every bracket’ doing one of 2 things:

The sentiment “we’ll never beat SHIELD” is a self-fulfilling prophecy, kind of like “girls don’t like me, so why should I bother showering”.
Shield should just adopt the following as their official theme song.

Ok I was semi-kidding about the reserved 1# part. And I was talking about pvp mostly. I know shield is busting their butts for those wins. My point was that there’s some alliances (especially venoms) who bust their butts off to challenge shield, and it’s just a bit weird that top 3 (or even top 10 given the increased competition) gets same awards than a top 50.
But I certainly hope such change wouldn’t mean a nerf for top 50 as that isn’t a guarantee anymore.
