So how do PVP defense Team Ups Work?

Playing PVP and then the enemy team fires their one and only team up. (Ex: Blades Tools of the Trade)
Does one have the ability to set up their own PVP defense Team Up ability?

Just like how we can set up our defensive team of three, or choose 3 team ups before the match.

*Assumption: Is our defensive team up randomly chosen for us or is it randomly one of the 3 team up characters we selected before the match?

As far as I know, it is randomly chosen.

In addition, I think it’s always at 2 Covers, regardless of what Cover level the Team-Ups you have available are.
