10 alliances and most of them always within top10 and leaving everyone behind by thousands of points, what’s up with that??? Seriously
. As soon as I see an X men in my bracket I know I am dead meat
.. cant ever beat them. 1600 points … as soon as I reached 1100 points all I was getting per fights were 13-18points max. So, they climb up to 1600+ points with these???.
I assume that by the time they reach 1300+ all they are getting per fights are 10 points probably.
It just doesn’t make sense why someone would burn shields and put so much effort to make 1600points for no rewards.
This smells like fish to me. Actually, it stinks fish
DU_Will made a statement yesterday that they sandbox anyone they caught on cheating so from DU perspective they are part of the game, take it or leave it.
There’s an ongoing thread in the Off Topic section with chat log where Naz explains their exploit server. Some claim it was just joke or sarcasm. Not as if it created any practical difference for us.
I see
ok then.
I wonder why some of them even bother playing the game. They maxx out every new cover as it comes out and beat us all like there is no tomorrow. Where is the challenge in that!!!.
I did however see a screenshot today from someone who claims they log onto a particular server which delays the game and this enables them to climb up to the moon.
As long as you’re Top 5, you should not care unless you need the XF and IW covers.
Join events late, you are less likely to be in their brackets, but then, you’ll have 5DVenoms…
They bring some challenge to the game, and much money to D3P. So, not so bad after all.
The main problem is that there aren’t many Top 10 Alliances anymore because most of them became Casual and/or the Commanders became bored. So the competitive players go to the X-Men, because this is where the challenge is. But many leave too…
That will change if new Alliances are being created with a good game spirit.
Well at least S.H.I.E.L.D and 5DV players dont go overboard past 1300 points. They are reasonable and u can see they fight for it whereas xmen just seem to cruise through it.
I respect them, they are in a league of their own and dont smell like fish
The way to go to 1600+ is with another person.
Just communicate when u going to shieldhop to the other guy so he can queue you up and vice versa.
You can go to 3k+ if your willing to spend enough HP.
I think they figured out a system that works. It’s probably not all about how much they spend. They stick to using line for the most part which keeps most of them of the forums chatting about strategy.
A very easy way to prevent some of this is to get rid of the tiny size mmr bubbles so you have to sift through hundreds of people before finding a specific person you might be looking for. But yah this part you’re right, it’s only 99.5% about how much they spend.
And who actually uses the forums for chatting and strategy? There are probably 100k chat/user group programs out there, most of which are free and much more effective than the in game chat or the forum.
I guess I was giving them a little credit. We know they pretty much still get by with lots of boosts and cash. Just trying not to condemn the whole group.
In addition if you choose never to attack your multiple alliances unless shielded means that X-men are always attacking players never themselves, therefore if they aren’t canabalizing themselves they acrue all the points. A simple, so and so is attacking me and people will que you up and destroy you. It’s sheer numbers of overpowering that gives them the advantage. So I attack an X-men, gain 30 points, then get retaliated by his alliance losing 100.
A simple fix is to not have a player’s name or alliance qued up except in the standings. Then you never know who you are playing against, this would stop mega alliances as they would begin to canabalize themselves.
I swear some of you stand outside country clubs and curse the guys who spent extra to rent a cart and forked over a little extra on his driver.
There’s nothing unusual going on in X-men. Anyone could simply score whatever they want here assuming you are comfortable with the associated costs (time+money)
We have guys at all score ranges/ level of competition. One member of ours recently joined the war room and took his previous personal best of 1100 to over 1500 with a few extra shields. Its not that hard.
I get it… You guys don’t want to spend to compete… I sympathize with that but that’s kind of what the game is. Its a hobby. There’s no reason we can’t all enjoy it in whatever manner we want without worrying about how others play.
Part of the problem people seem to have with these X-Men franchises is the overwhelming arrogance many of the members ooze all over the forums. One does not have to be an elitist to be elite, and statements like the above are part of that perception.
You’ve hit the nail right on the head. It’s not hard. There’s nothing hard about it. But when your victories are propped up by spending many times over what even the next closest group are they just aren’t terribly impressive. I personally don’t really care. I don’t shoot for winning my bracket because I have no interest in throwing money at the problem. Someone else will, and that’s fine. They pay for my entertainment and I’ll take my top 5 placement that didn’t cost more than my rent. But when you’re flaunting your spending habits by going so far over what seems reasonable to the grand majority of players you have to expect there’s going to be some blowback. You can take the attitude that they’re all just jealous haters, but to them you’re just buying wins at their expense.
Most people play to win prizes. You’re buying wins to earn prizes you don’t need by spending more than the prizes cost. There is a disconnect there. So do what you want. Play however you want. But you are going to be judged by your actions, and blatantly buying wins isn’t going to make you popular with all the poor unfortunates watching you through those country club gates.
