I’ve had a Black Arts countdown that did not increase in number when using Anti-Gravity Device, and hovering my mouse over it it’s as if it’s a normal tile. Steam version.
I just had my Hulk anger countdown overwritten with a shuriken countdown. Unless the goons now have abilities like Captain America, I didn’t think that was possible. Then when I tapped the tile to look at it, it just showed the normal tile stats and not the information about the shuriken.
If you hover your cursor over the countdown, and it shows the colour name instead of the type of countdown, AGD won’t affect it. But it will still mess you up when it hits 0.
When it’s happened to me it’s been E1 and H5 (I think).
I’ve started checking them when they appear so I don’t get surprised later.
I’ve had a few tiles operate like this, and actually overwrote a smoke bomb tile with Elektra’s double double cross. Doesn’t happen frequently, but it does come up on occasion it seems. As an aside, this should probably be moved to bug reports instead of general discussion.
I was just playing the intro to sub 4 and had a DareDevil ambush trap out. A goon casts Meteor Hammer. Does it hit one of the 9 other red tiles on the board? NOPE, right on the ONE red trap tile.
Seems like player CD/trap/attack/protect/strike tiles are AI magnets
During the final wave of the last node in Enemy of The State, I used 3* Thor’s Thunder Strike twice in a row to build up AP for CtS, and one off the tiles that got changed to green was an enemy Hand grunt’s “Black Arts” countdown tile. It was still a countdown but became green instead of black, and when I tapped it the description given was for a basic tile (“Thor shatters for X damage”). I didn’t try to match it because I wanted to see what would happen when it resolved. Answer: the ability went off as normal.
Perhaps some of the new goons’ CDs count as traps when they shouldn’t since they also have a plethora of trap skills, and we all know that trap tiles are not overwritten by colour changes.
Some countdown tiles are being treated as basic tiles. They do not display proper countdown effect information when you tap on them, are overwritable by other skills that normally only affect basic tiles, and are no affected by countdown-specific skills like Anti-Gravity device.
