IW Spidey, though mostly useless in competitive play, is still one of my favorite designed characters. He’s a lot of fun with the other spider characters.

There are plenty of people that read these forums. You never know how many newer players may also use these articles as reference. Doesn’t hurt to help them out and provide some info relevant to them, right? :slight_smile:

Oh, come on now, why act like this is something new?
Anytime we have a specific celebration, all relevant characters are pointed out, across all SCLs.
(Scl1-2 people will be getting relevant characters too… While you might not care, some marvel or spidey fans will be starting out now… there’s no vet criteria to use the forum for information)

Loading screen suggests Stealth costume for 3* Spider-Man. And, of course, Fishbowl-head teased in the icon. Considering the often animal theme to Spidey villains, he may originally have been planned as Fishbowl-Man.

Teaser video on Twitter shows Mysterio and Stealth Suit Spidey in action. Stats are never final in these, but health range suggests Mysterio is a 4* (which was kinda expected after Storm and Black Cat with the 5/4/4 pattern, but a disappointment for the few crazy people like myself hoping we’d get a 3/5 release for Mysterio). Stealth Suit looks like a 3* Spidey costume.

The best line in the article, IMO: On June 30, all events this week are double iso-8 events, and then on July 1, the new Spider-Man themed Boss Event, Battle at the Basilica, kicks off!

@Brigby Would you kindly let us know which Spider-Ham will be the progression cover in Porcine of Interest? Inquiring 3/3/5 pigs are curious. :slight_smile:

Also confirms that Mysterio isn’t 5* by mentioning the Mysterio Versus event.

I was just having a look at all these boosted Spider heroes, and it got me thinking. There are so many SM related characters, they could totally do a special vaulted SM Legendary store.

The 5s could be SMPP and SMBB (of course), plus say Green Goblin.
And there are 12 SM related 4s that could be vaulted for 4x odds. (Heroes: SpiderGwen, Miles, IronSpidey, SpiderWoman, +Fury. Villains: Carnage, Kraven, Eddie Venom, Agent Venom, Sandman, Prowler, Vulture, + the new Black Cat, but i doubt that would be made so available so soon.)

Just wanted to put the idea out there, as that would be a really cool tie-in legendary store. What do you guys think?

I like the idea, although I’m assuming their plans are already in place. Hopefully they DID plan on this and we’ll see something. Note that Black Cat would be available in about 9 days to be in such a store, if they chose, since she’ll only be “NEW” until a week from Thursday.

That’s only because Stealth Suit Spidey = 3*Spidey + Costume.

Yes, but they like to keep availability for new characters to a minimum, so people will struggle, and thus are more likely to spend, to get it covered for ST. Making it 4x odds immediately kinda defeats that purpose, which is why i would think it unlikely. Still, it would be awesome if they did. Im sure it would generate a lot of goodwill after all the ST uproars lately… (ahem)

(Perceived) goodwill is, sadly, in short supply among the playerbase from what I can tell. Making Black Cat available at better odds in a store wouldn’t exactly be giving covers away, either. Seems like a smart move.
