I fnd there’s a good second or two between my turn starting and being able to click an ability. Also I find it can take multiple clicks before I can change tabs for my heroes to get an ability ready. Seemed to happen about patch R60, I think, and I was assuming it was a temporary thing that would sort itself out. I’ve clicked an ability frequently and it doesn’t even make that “bink” noise or show a graphic of the ability being depressed for a second or two before it finally lets me use it.
Also, countdown timers the enemy fires seem to take a long time to clear. If I use World Rupture, the tiles fire off very quickly, but the enemies WR tiles take about a second and a half between tiles.
And please, please, for the love of all that’s holy can someone shrink the amount of time it takes Flamethrower to hit? Ever since I started the game, Flamethrower has taken ages to fire. You get the animation and the literally 2 seconds pass (I’ve counted it) after the animation finishes before the tile explodes. At least it used to be, now there’s a delay on enemy countdown timers breaking it’s more like two and a half seconds.
Is this a known issue or is this something unique to me?
It’s not just you; I’ve noticed the lag as well. Sometimes there are delays before an ability fires, and on occasion the sound effect doesn’t play or isn’t synchronized properly with the visuals
I’ve also had problems clicking on the nodes in pve events (but strangely, not in pvp). I sometimes have to click 3 or 4 times on a node before it registers–very annoying.
I hadn’t had a problem with nodes until today. That topmost one in the PvE event…couldn’t click it. Seemed like there was a very small spot on that node that would register a mouse click, the rest was like I was clicking the background image.
As disclosure, I play with all sounds muted, but I have never really noticed any slow downs, unless it was my actual CPU lagging, which is really rare.
I would suggest an uninstall and reinstall. Perhaps defragging your HDD first to see if it’s just a fragmentation issue that’s aggravating your loading times - patching is pretty notorious for fragmentation, I usually defrag the night after every League of Legends update, for example, because they’re so big.
I’ve had the issue with clicking on the nodes in unstable ISO-8 every time it’s been run. If a node is at the extreme top or bottom of the screen, its very hard to get the click to register on the steam version.
There have definitely been some changes to something else in the UI in the steam version that makes things very slow to register or be enabled. Clicking on tabs, powers, even tiles sometimes just doesn’t register until a few seconds have passed after whatever the previous action was. Was hoping it was something that would resolve itself, but it’s been this way for awhile now.
It’s also nothing to do with my PC, the game is running off an SSD on a very high spec gaming PC and at 300mb of ram it’s not exactly taxing the system. It’s just something to do with the UI elements having a delay or cool down on them or something.
Still having this issue. AI finished their turn and I clicked over and over again for a good 4 seconds before it actually let me select a tab to choose a move.
Necrobump. I have this issue on the Steam version of the game, it take 3-5 clicks (or 2+ seconds) to use a power or cycle between enemies. NO other steam game I own is so unresponsive to clicks.
Welp, bracing for my topic to close soon.
But on that note, 4 years after making this and the game’s still slow to let me do the moves I’m clicking on.
